Re: Acceptance/Rejection
I know SLC undergraduate admissions committee doesn't meet until spring break (which starts this Friday for us) for final decisions. (I work in the admissions office as part of my work-study.) The same may be true for graduate, but I can't confirm it. Good luck!Anonymous

Just called Michigan
I finally decided to just call Michigan. The acceptance and rejection letters were sent on Monday, so if you've heard nothing like me, hang on. You'll probably have a letter by the end of the week (or beginning of the next, if the mail is slow.)K.C.

Arkansas has a rolling-style admissions process. There's not a uniform decision date--applicants get a letter approximately six weeks after they apply.

Has anyone been accepted anywhere BY POSTAL MAIL???Anonymous

Re: Accepted by letter?
Ha ha, seriously. Postal mail is so much more dignified, and so much more proper for the occasion. Some things are best done the old-fashioned way. And grad school admissions notification is one of them. Grrrrrr.

Speaking of the postal service
For those of you who received either acceptances or rejections through snail-mail, did the school end up sending it to your permanent or current address? [assuming there is a difference between the two]Anonymous

Re: Speaking of the postal service
A week after learning about my Michener rejection online my parent's, located in the Midwest, received one. Why they sent it there, since I only live several blocks from UT, I don't know.March 2 2006, 22:16:08 UTC 6 years ago

Where to check your status.
I'm starting this thead so everyone can post links to the sites that allow applicants to check their websites. Feel free to add in your schools' sites. Here's a start:
Austin: http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/services/s
Iowa: isis.uiowa.edu
University of San Francisco: link is ridiculously long, go to http://www.usfca.edu/acadserv/admission/
Amherst: https://webapp.spire.umass.edu/ admissions/htdocs/applicant/gradapp_logo

Re: Iowa-poetry-rejection-snail mail
Damn. I was really, really, hoping you'd get in.Next year. You're in Iowa City for a while, and it's a great city, right?
Maybe you don't want to head down to George's or the Foxhead tonight, tho. Might run into one too many Workshoppers. Ever been to Hilltop? It's great.
