Missouri

Someone posted on TGC a rejection and left the comment that 50% of applicants were accepted. Does anyone know if this is true and how many applied at Missouri?
In the email I received from them they stated that they "accepted less that 50% of their applicants" but did not say how many there were. Their website says they generally receive around 40 applicants each year.

Didn't someone say at some point that the University of Colorado would inform applicants of their status for the masters program today or did I dream this?
Would someone be willing to post the link to the private blog for admitted applicants again? I can't find it

Utah

Does anyone have any information on Utah- like when we can expect to hear from them?
I second the need for Utah info. The last two years they notified by mail at the end of Feb/very beginning of March, but from as far as I can tell, there hasn't been a peep from them yet this year.

Anyone out here have anything for us?
Got an email saying I was on the waitlist an hour ago. Email says they are uncertain about budget and had to be "cautious" about admissions process. Good luck to all else who applied there.
Got an email from Christopher Morris. I am in the "middle" of the waitlist, but no indication of how large it is.
Grats. Judging the numbers posted earlier, you are part of a pretty small group.

I thought they were going to notify by mail.
I flat-out distrust the gradcafe results board
a good number of the postings seem legitimate enough, but a lot are rather suspicious

Out of curiosity, has anyone been accepted at every school to which he/she applied?
hahahahahahahahahaha...

I emailed the department the other day, and got a short email back saying that they have made their initial offers and have a waitlist, and that I'm not on it. I would guess a lot of us are on this second-string waitlist (rejected).
Does anyone know if all waitllist notifications have gone out? It looks like someone just received notice a couple of days ago.

Has anyone heard from them yet?
I applied for the MPhilStud, but my application arrived late, so I am hoping that I am still considered.
Is anyone else pretty much suicidal b/c the knowledge that notifications are imminent is just too much to bear?
I gotta make it through Sunday, then Monday the mail always arrives late. At worst, I'll get my letter Tuesday.
I think I might die.
NSSR is pretty much my last chance at PhD, because I don't have a good feeling about Fordham and Duquesne.

They said they'd be SENT by Tuesday. Unless your letter has already been mailed and you live in New York there is a good chance you won't get the New School letter on Tuesday but later.

Student P won't decline University A unless she gets in off of the waitlist for University B

Student Q won't decline university B unless she gets in off the waitlist for university A.

P and Q might each be in contact with the departments, and each student could be aware that there is one spot preventing an admission offer.

What happens? Do the DGS ask where else they're each considering so as to remediate these situations?

Is it that eventually P or Q givess in and accepts the 2nd choice spot, leading to the other student finding out that she's no longer on the waitlist and thus accepting her 2nd choice spot?

I wonder how often, if ever, this happens. Or if more complicated and yet symmetric admissions occur, for example:

P in at UofA, WL at UofB.
Q in at UofB, WL at UofC.
R in at UofC, WL at UofA.
(assume 1st choice of each is the WL place.)

Just going nuts over the waiting game and thinking.
ugh
this post reminds me of the damn GRE

(which seems like such a waste at this point)

Some people have received rejections from Rutgers. Are others still waiting to hear?
I'm waiting. I wonder if those rejections were people who contacted the department.

I gather not many people applying to Minnesota are hanging out here.
I heard that on the prospective student weekend, other than the 6 offered, only 3 of the long 16 waitlist showed up.
Are any of you considering other schools at the moment? I heard 3 are definetely taking the offers!
I am far enough down the wait list that I did not think it worth while to fly out to see the program. That being said, if it comes through, I will likely accept the offer.
